MARSHVILLE, NC (WBTV) – A 91-year-old woman says she was ripped off by a team of robbers posing as property surveyors.
The three men caused confusion and created distractions, so they could rob Edna Thomas of more than $100.
Police believe the men are professionals, and this robbery likely was not their first heist.
The group has found a crime of opportunity and has it down to a science.
The first man stays in the truck, the second gets the homeowner out of the house, while the third sneaks inside and takes the loot.
…they are believed to have been involved in similar crimes as far away as Myrtle Beach.
